I use Egyptian Cotton for a cool crisp feel. Fitted sheet first pulled extra tight. Put the top sheet on upside down so when folded over the pattern is showing.
I use a lightweight textured cotton blanket that coordinates with the color scheme of my room. Put this over the top sheet and fold the top down about 14 inches and tuck in around the bed tightly. I use the hospital corner fold at the bottom of the bed to get a nice snug tuck....this is an Army habit taught by my Grandfather. You know...it's so tight you can bounce a quarter on your made bed!
I use a coverlet next and lay it over the blanket and tuck it in around the bed. I then fold over the top half of the coverlet showing the top sheet and blanket underneath.
Comforter or Duvet
Folding this lengthwise in half, I place this at the foot of the bed. I summer, we nix the Duvet all together.
Three Euro square pillows shams in the back, two regular shams in front of those and 4 decorative pillows tossed in front
Sometimes I'll put a throw at the bottom of the bed. Just in case I want to snuggle up and take a nap during the day. Ha! Ha! This never happens, but it looks nice and we usually grab it for movie night in the family room.
