My daughter and Nephew love wearing their Christmas pajamas and sipping "hot-hot-hot chocolate" & nibbling on yummy cookies as we ride along with many of the story's characters such as the Train Conductor, the Dancing Waiters, and a ghostly Hobo.
Once we reach the North Pole, Santa himself climbs on board to give each child a silver sleigh bell, the "first gift of Christmas". This is truly a favorite holiday outing of ours and a magical experience!
Now, purchasing the tickets is another story...this train ride sells out quickly. And when I say quickly...I mean in hours! The Sacramento Polar Express Train Ride is sold out, but I did find that the Polar Express Train Ride in Jamestown at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in the heart of the Sierra's gold country tickets are still available. It's such a fun tradition and well worth the stress of getting the tickets!
