Monday we thought it would be fun to treat the doggies with something special. We made Peanut Butter Pumpkin dog cookies for the girls. Both Stella & Sophie sat and watched in anticipation as the smell of peanut butter (their very favorite!) filled the kitchen.
We cut them in to cute Boxer shapes with a cookie cutter given to me by my friend and neighbor Lesa. For those of you who know and show dogs...I think I got a few cookies in good stacking position!
Stella & Sophie's Peanut Butter Pumpkin Cookies
1 C canned Organic Pumpkin
1/2 C oats
3 C flour
3 TBS Peanut Butter ( we used Adam's Natural Creamy Unsalted)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Pre-heat oven to 350
In a separate bowl, wisk together pumpkin, eggs, and peanut butter
In another bowl stir together oats, flour, and cinnamon
Combine the two bowls and roll to 1/2" thick, cut in shapes and bake for 30 to 35 minutes
Dough is very sticky. We refrigerated the dough for about an hour and used a floured surface when rolling out and using a cookie cutter.
Cookies will be on the softer side, not hard and crunchy like most dog cookies.
Our doggies love them. Let me know if yours do as well!
